St Nicholas Early Education
St Nicholas Early Education seeks to shape and build a better, brighter future by providing play-based and child-led learning experiences tailored to your child. By offering a uniquely child-centric learning environment in which an authentic childhood is unleashed, we provide your child with the opportunity to discover, explore and experience the world around them while they work to determine their place within their family and community.
More than this, St Nick’s seeks to offer the best start to a bright future to all children throughout The Hunter and that is why we are planning and developing future centres in convenient locations.
Vision for the future
In addition to St Nicholas Early Education’s five existing centres, we have our eyes cast forward toward new horizons. This vision for the future includes a centre opening in January 2019 in Raymond Terrace.
The centre in Raymond Terrace will soon be followed by two additional centres in Branxton and Maitland - both scheduled to open October 2019.
In addition to opening centres throughout The Hunter, St Nicholas Early Education plans to help your child get a great start to education by providing workshops to parents and carers looking to expand upon the play-based curriculum offered at each St Nick’s centre.
Our workshops will provide parents, carers and educators with the tools to implement child-led activities which build upon what they learn and discover each day at their St Nicholas Early Education centre.
Educators of the future
St Nick’s is excited to announce that at our Maitland centre we will have a vocational training opportunity which will be open for educators to undertake face-to-face training for their certificate III or diploma qualifications.
The opportunity will be extended to students at All Saints College, St Peter’s Campus, Maitland as well as St Joseph’s College, Lochinvar to do their VAT training in Early Childhood Education.
St Nick’s is also looking at the vocational training facility to be able to provide support to our trainees at each of our early education centres.
There will also be a community playgroup all offered within the one facility in Maitland.
More information regarding St Nicholas Early Education Maitland will be available soon. Watch this space as St Nicholas continues to extend on its play-based curriculum by training educators to reach the benchmark of quality on offer at all St Nicholas Early Education centres.
