Community involvement at St Nicholas Early Education

St Nicholas Early Education is committed to promoting and encouraging positive and respectful relationships with the community. We value community involvement and encourage links to the community by inviting members of the community to visit St Nicholas Early Education centres as well as taking children on excursions out into the local community.

At St Nicholas Early Education Cardiff, children assisted educators with setting up the Community Corner where visitors to the centre can find non-perishable food, household items, children’s clothing and shoes and community information.

At St Nicholas Early Education Newcastle West, children embark on many excursions, including visits to Sacred Heart Cathedral. This provides children with an opportunity to develop an understanding of their local community and their place within it.

During the recent drought relief appeal, St Nicholas Early Education Chisholm raised funds to support local farmers as they weatherd one of the worst droughts in New South Wales History.

Each St Nicholas Early Education centre looks for opportunities to connect with the community. We look at this as children in our centres growing as community members in their local environments.
