Working at St Nick's: Brydee from St Nicholas Early Education Raymond Terrace
St Nicholas Raymond Terrace educator, Brydee, is appreciative of her Centre Director, Lauren, for allowing her to further her studies in education while she is working .
“St Nicholas and my Director, Lauren, have been really supportive of my studying which has meant me having to cut down from five days a week to three days a week at the centre,” says Brydee.
Brydee already has a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and she is now studying for a Bachelor of Teaching Early Childhood through the University of Newcastle.
This flexibility is part and parcel of St Nicholas Early Education’s commitment to its educators.
“At St Nick’s, we recognise that educators are our most valuable resource when it comes to providing the level of care and early education which has become synonymous with the St Nick’s brand,” St Nicholas Early Education’s General Operations Manager, Kerri Armstrong.
Why work for St Nicholas Early Education
Brydee says the children do as much for her as she does for them: “They’re teaching me a lot of things.
“I love coming into work everyday and I am as excited to see the kids as they are to see me,” she said.
“I also really enjoy making connections not only with the children but also with their families.”
Brydee decided to apply for a position with St Nicholas Early Education after visiting the website and discovering that her own personal philosophy of education aligns with that of St Nick’s.
“I’d heard really good things about St Nicholas and after visiting their website and reading through all of their philosophies – that was something that really resonated with my own personal philosophy,” she said.
