St Nicholas Early Education Aranda is the first St Nicholas Early Education centre to open in Australian Capital Territory. It is also the first Early Childhood Education centre to be built in the area since 1994.
Scheduled to open its doors early next year, St Nicholas Early Education Aranda will be an eight-room and 131-place early education and care centre. The new centre will be located near St Vincent’s Primary School.
In preparation for our opening, we are seeking a dedicated and autonomous Director on a full-time permanent basis to help set up the centre, build a team of Committed Educators, whilst providing a great service to the families in Aranda.
St Nicholas Early Education Aranda will feature two dedicated nursery programs for 12 children aged 0 - 2 years with two cot rooms. In addition to the nursery programs, St Nicholas Aranda will feature two two-year-old programs with space for 15 children in each; two three-year-old programs; one with space for 20 children and one with space for 17 children; and two preschool programs for children aged four and five with space for 20 children in each.
To be successful in the position you will be a self motivated leader, have a passion for early childhood education and provide exceptional service in all undertakings. You will have knowledge in implementing best practice strategies into centres and a track record in facilitating a child’s optimal social, intellectual and physical development.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in same role;
Diploma in Children’s Services or Degree in Early Childhood Teaching;
Proven ability in all areas of administrative procedure, curriculum development, parent and community liaison, staff professional development and training;
Understanding and working knowledge of WHS legislation;
Demonstrated knowledge of services requirements of the CCS (childcare management system) and ability to perform software application for compliance;
Be willing to accept the role of Nominated Supervisor under the Children (Education and Care Services National Law Application) Bill 2010 and Education and Care Services National Regulations;
Demonstrated ability to successfully support the Early Learning Years Framework with the centre curriculum;
Previous experience in successfully managing a budget for an Early Education Centre.
