An exciting vacancy currently exists for a Director in our Early Education centre at Cardiff. 

St Nicholas Early Education Cardiff is a successfully established centre that joined the St Nicholas brand in 2018. We seek a professional business manager to continue to operate the centre within a passion for quality improvement to ensure the centre remains a leader in the Cardiff area.

To be successful in the position you will be self motivated, have a passion for child care and provide exceptional service in all undertakings, have knowledge in implementing best practice strategies into centres and a track record in facilitating a child’s optimal social, intellectual and physical development.

Selection criteria

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in same role

  • Diploma in Children’s Services or Degree in Early Childhood Teaching

  • Proven ability in all areas of administrative procedure, curriculum development, parent and community liaison, staff professional development and training

  • Understanding and working knowledge of WHS legislation

  • Demonstrated knowledge of services requirements of the CCS (childcare management system) and ability to perform software application for compliance

  • Be willing to accept the role of Nominated Supervisor under the Children (Education and Care Services National Law Application) Bill 2010 and Education and Care Services National Regulations

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully support the Early Learning Years Framework with the centre curriculum

  • Previous experience in successfully managing a budget for an Early Education Centre

This position is on a permanent full-time basis, however part-time applications will also be considered.  

It is mandatory for applicants to hold: First Aid training certification, Current Child protection training, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training. Applicants may also be required to go through pre-screening checks such as a national criminal check, right to work in Australia, complete a health declaration, Working With Children Check verification, and proof of qualifications.
