Lochinvar: Early Childhood Educator (Certificate III)

St Nicholas Early Education has an exciting opportunity for a new part-time (24hrs per week) Early Childhood Educator (Certificate III) at our Lochinvar centre.
Our Lochinvar centre has been architecturally designed to include a unique outdoor atrium area that will delight and challenge children with its diverse play areas.
As an Early Childhood Educator, you will be expected to be an active member of a team that provides high quality early childhood education and care to children, whilst partnering with parents.
You will have the ability to develop relationships with children and families, assist in the implementation of St Nicholas’ policies and processes, and work with other staff to continuously improve the operations of St Nicholas. St Nicholas Early Education adopts a best practice ethos in care and education, to ensure it has a positive reputation in the community of Lochinvar.
An approved Certificate III level qualification for the purposes of the education and care services, national law and regulations;
current First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training;
Working with Children Check verification number.
a minimum of 2 years experience working as Child Care Educator within an early childhood service;
computer literacy in order to document examples of learning stories;
child protection qualification;
Experience in sport directional coaching;
the ability to engage with children through playing a musical instrument;
knowledge and practice of a second language; and
the ability to incorporate relaxing / meditation or yoga techniques in an early education setting.
This position is part-time (24 hours per week) and is paid under the Children Services Award.
